Flying Barrel Of Monkeys

We attended our first Halloween party of the season today. I have a diverse group of friends here and one of them is a professional photographer. Another is a mother of two and wife to man fighting cancer. Together they planned a party/fundraiser for the cancer center that is helping my friend’s husband beat cancer. In exchange for a donation to the cancer center, the photographer took pictures of the kids in their costumes, and then everybody hung out, ate, and played for the rest of the morning. It was great to catch up with some friends I hadn’t seen in a while and meet some new ones.

In typical obstinate-boy fashion, MonkeyBoy refused to look at the photographer so I’m not sure we’ll end up with any smiling pictures of him from the photo shoot. But I did catch a couple of him playing in the bounce house and sitting down in a too-small-for-him Bumbo.

I made jack-o-lantern shaped cake balls as my contribution for the food. I think they were gone in about fifteen minutes.
